Courses for schoolgirls (and sometimes
co-ed) are constructed as required and subject
to consultation. (Consultation is free of
charge)
PRIMARY SCHOOL
These courses, engaged as young as primary
school, teach early awareness (in a non-scary
way) but firmly sending the message home
and making a valuable early impression of
the “good guys and bad guys”.
Courses as early as this make a good foundation
for self safety and are requested for all
kinds of reasons from situations where bullying
is a problem – or simply almost an
extension of the “green cross code”.
The children are taught to identify a situation
that they are unhappy about and how to communicate
their concern in an effective way. At this
age a child is totally vulnerable and deserves
a right to safe keeping. They simply love
the physical side of this exercise, set
to music and movement in parts, this makes
for a happy reception to this learning which
keeps it memorable to them.
11 PLUS
At around 11+ age is another time when
anxieties and concerns may arise. Big changes
and challenges may be happening now. A new
school, a school bus and an unfamiliar journey
in dark mornings without Mum. Now a small
fish in a big pond, the water can seem so
deep at times! For some children this can
be so intimidating and even harrowing that
it can take a year to feel “well”
about it all. A course for reassurance and
sound common sense and advice at this time
is such a boost. Delivered in an upbeat,
cheerful but positive manner it will instill
confidence and responsibility, the child
will feel more confident and equipped to
make the transition happily. Parents too
find it a constructive comfort that a “safety
pin” can be carefully and discreetly
secured as the apron strings must untie.
Growing up can be great!
TIME RECOMMENDED
For primary schools, depending on the construction
of the course and issues to be dealt with,
usually, one or two one-and-a-half hour
sessions are adequate.
11+ one two hour session
